iXperience is an education company whose mission is to create epic journeys of growth that unlock our students’ potential. Our vision is to become the world’s leading experiential learning ecosystem that inspires and enables radical personal growth.

Exciting news! For 2019, we will be running our programme from Berlin! We're therefore looking for an experienced Programme Manager, who will play a vital role in the success of our Berlin launch.

Join us and your sense of impact and reward will be huge. You will help to build a brand which is making a real difference in education, both locally and internationally. iXperience teaches 21st century skills in a way that universities don't. We're empowering the next generation of learners with knowledge, skills, and experience that will enable them to discover their potential and help them go on to shape our future.

One of our goals is to build the most revolutionary and accelerated education spaces anywhere in the world. This means putting a lot of time into ensuring we only hire people with exceptional potential and creating the best working environment possible.

Who you are

You love creating experiences for people. You understand that true learning is about mastering subject matter and connecting with your fellow students and teachers. You believe in the iXperience mission of unlocking our students’ potential, and will do what’s necessary to get the job done.

You are a savvy manager, both able to inspire a team and give critical feedback. You are a strong relationship builder and you love a challenge. You are also analytical, and let data drive your decision making. You are not scared to bring bold ideas to the table.

You are highly business-literate, with the ability to build strong relationships with different types of individuals and organizations alike.

What you’ll do

You’ll be responsible for the success of the iXperience Program in Berlin, Germany, and required to live there from May - September, 2018.

Your specific responsibilities are:

  • Oversee the iXperience courses, internships, and excursions.
  • Manage a team of 2 teachers and 4 teaching assistants, and ensure that classes are delivered at high quality.
  • Build and maintain relationships with 20+ companies in the iX internship network, and ensure students are having a high-quality internship experience.
  • Manage relationships with 4-5 excursions providers (groups who organize tours such as surf lessons, wine tasting courses, and so on), and ensure students have a positive experience at each excursion.
  • Manage health and safety staff, and be responsible for students’ physical and mental well-being on the program
  • Foster individual relationships with students
  • Represent and elevate the iXperience mission, values, and brand

You’ll need to be pretty awesome at these things:

Leadership. You need to understand and believe in the iXperience mission, and inspire a team to achieve results. You need to have a strong vision of your own.

Management. You’ll need to design processes to make sure people can do their jobs well. You’ll give praise and constructive feedback when necessary. You may need to hire and fire people.

Relationship-building. You’ll need to have a keen interest in connecting with our students, staff, and partners. You need to love people and understanding how to make others happy.

Data-driven decision-making. You need to love collecting data, doing simple analysis on it, and using it to drive your future decisions. Hunches are good, but data is better.

Self-motivated. You’re much happier setting ambitious goals for yourself and working hard to achieve them—not being micromanaged.

Team spirit. We are all contributing to the same vision and goal, so be a great individual contributor but be more motivated by supporting the team to achieve. We only win if the team wins.

You’ll also need to be able to tick these boxes:

  • A background in business, entrepreneurship, or career development
  • Strong analytic skills (financial, planning, operational)
  • Be able to live in Berlin, Germany from May to September 2018
  • Incredible grit, resilience, and hustle
